Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts
The Public Financing Authority (PFA) Board for the Brentwood Innovation Center Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District and Brentwood Boulevard-Downtown Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District consist of up to 3 members of the City Council, and up to 2 appointed members of the public. The Board will recommend plans to fund infrastructure improvements within the Innovation Center and Brentwood Boulevard areas of the community. Board member duties include providing insights on certain neighborhood improvements through approval of an Infrastructure Financing Plan and prospective sale of bonds to focus on the creation of new infrastructure for economic development and focusing needed improvements in underserved parts of the community.
Members are appointed by majority approval of the City Council, to serve two-year terms. The PFA board meets annually and as necessary to perform the responsibilities.
The first PFA Board meeting is anticipated in Spring 2022, subject to ongoing negotiations with Contra Costa County to become a joint participating member of the EIFDs.
