About the City Manager
Tim Ogden became the Brentwood City Manager in February 2020, just a month before COVID-19 started. He previously served as City Manager in Manteca and Waterford, and has worked for local governments since 2002. He earned an MBA in 2004, and awarded the ICMA Credentialed Manager certification in 2017. His wife and he have four children, and a daughter-in-law.

The City of Brentwood operates under the City Manager form of government. Under policy direction of the City Council, the City Manager serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City; assumes full responsibility for planning, administering, directing, overseeing, and evaluating the activities and operations of all City departments.
