About Police Chief Tim Herbert
Chief Tim Herbert is the 12th Police Chief for the City of Brentwood. He brings 32 years of Law Enforcement experience, and 22 of those years have been with the Brentwood Police Department. Chief Herbert holds a Master's Degree in Law Enforcement and a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Behavior.
Chief Herbert's philosophy is to provide the highest level of service possible through our dedicated police officers and professional staff. He believes in transparency and professionalism at all levels of the Police Department.
Chief Herbert has been a resident of Brentwood for the last 21 years, where he and his wife raised their two adult sons.

About Us
Established in 1948, the Brentwood Police Department services an area of approximately 14 square miles. The City is divided up into 4 separate, geographical beats. We serve a growing population that is approximately 64,513 residents. Our department currently has 72 sworn police officer positions and another 36 civilian support staff positions. In addition to our permanent staff, we have approximately 20 volunteers who are citizens of our community and assist us with our day to day operations.
