About the Director of Engineering/City Engineer
Allen Baquilar has over 20 years of professional experience in Engineering and Public Works working in municipal government throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii and is a licensed Civil Engineer with the State of California.
As both the Director of Engineering and City Engineer, Allen leads a team of passionate and dedicated employees responsible for the planning, design and construction of public infrastructure and facilities, ensuring private developments are built to Brentwood standards, maintaining and operating the City's Geographic Information System (GIS), and managing the City's traffic and transportation network.
The Engineering Department is comprised of the following four divisions: Capital Improvement Program, Development, Geographic Information System, and Traffic & Transportation.
