AB-2234: Post-Entitlement Phase Permits

Per Assembly Bill 2234, local governments are required to publish lists of all required application materials for post-entitlement phase permits, as well as examples of complete applications.  These lists must address five distinct types of residential development, including Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADUs), duplex, mixed-use, multi-family and townhome projects.

Brentwood encourages all applicants for post-entitlement phase permits to submit their applications online though the City’s electronic submittal portal, found here:

The complete application examples shown below utilize the electronic submittal portal and apply to all five types of development.  The only difference in the information input into the system will be the Permit Type or Permit Subtype.  The combinations are included below for each of the five types of residential projects:
