The Universal Abilities Playground at Veterans Park opened in February 2013. This unique playground, the first of its kind in East County, includes play equipment for kids of ALL abilities. Children with social/emotional, physical, sensory, cognitive, and/or communication challenges are able to use the equipment at this park. This allows children with disabilities to interact side-by-side with their siblings and other children on the same equipment. This playground promotes children of all ages and abilities to be as healthy and active as possible, regardless of any physical and/or emotional challenges they may have. There's something for everyone to enjoy!
