Fields of Time

The Brentwood Blvd project called “Fields of Time” is being constructed by Artist Douwe Blumberg. This project will be installed along Brentwood Blvd near the Brentwood Police Station. “Fields of Time” is a nod to Brentwood’s rich agricultural heritage.

These projects were originally scheduled to be installed in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain issues, installations have been delayed to 2023. 

Radiant Convergence

The Sand Creek Median project called “Radiant Convergence” is being constructed by Artist Seth Palmiter of Motivated Metal.  This project will be installed on the Sand Creek Medium near the bypass. “Radiant Convergence” is a bold, powerful gateway that will provide meaningful cultural explorations to a broad audience. “Radiant Convergence” will depict a long horizontal span that mirrors Mount Diablo.

Funding

Funding for these projects comes from the Public Art Acquisition Fund. The Public Art Acquisition Fund consists of development fees collected for the acquisition and construction of Public Art and can only be used for public art projects.
