The City of Brentwood is fully committed to providing opportunities to youth and adults of all ages and abilities to comply with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The City is committed to offering adaptive and inclusive recreational activities and facilities and to provide advocacy to individuals with diverse abilities.

To ensure our programs benefit all who attend, please call our office, (925) 516-5444 or email us, parksandrecreation@brentwoodca.gov, if any participant has a disability requiring special accommodations.

 PARKS and PLAYGROUNDS

All parks within the City of Brentwood are required by law and ASTM Standards to be ADA accessible. Whether the access surface is a ramp, rubberized surface or wood fiber the play structure is required to be accessible. All parks within the City of Brentwood meet these requirements and are frequently inspected by Parks staff, that include Certified Playground Safety Inspectors. All City play structure meet a variety of children’s skill levels and include features such as sensory boards, ground level climbing structures, mommy and me swings, ADA designed swings or other innovative features.  More information about parks and amenities can be found here
