Caregivers Count! 14th Annual Confrence

Caregivers Count Conference is designed for families and friends caring for their loved ones. Conference features professional speakers covering wide ranging topics to support caregivers. Past conference topics have included in home support services, compassion fatigue, advocacy, caregiving info, etc.

California Caregiver Center

CRCs offer a variety of services and useful resources for family caregivers in every county in California. Find your local Caregiver Resource Center.

The California Caregiver Resource Centers are proud to provide regular educational and informative events to family caregivers. This is a coordinated effort to offer a wide range of free, virtual programs in multiple languages and with topics of interest to family caregivers. These programs are open to ALL family caregivers in California.

The 11 nonprofit Caregiver Resource Centers (CRCs) serve family caregivers of adults (18+) affected by chronic and debilitating health conditions including dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, cerebrovascular diseases (such as stroke or aneurysms), degenerative diseases (such as Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and multiple sclerosis), or traumatic brain injury (TBI), among many others.


Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) - Bay Area Caregiver Resource Center

Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) serves as the Bay Area Caregiver Resource Center, one of 11 Caregiver Resource Centers throughout California. In this role, we offer free and low-cost services in the greater San Francisco Bay Area to help you provide the best possible care while also focusing on your own health and well-being.

When you contact us, a staff member will speak with you about your caregiving situation, answer questions, and provide tailored resources and tools. You can also meet with an FCA Family Consultant via telephone or video conference for a caregiver assessment and care planning session. East Bay In-Person Support Group (currently offered online)

This is a monthly group based in Emeryville that serves caregivers who are caring for someone who is:

  • 60 or older with any diagnosis, or
  • Between the ages of 18-59 with an adult-onset cognitive or neurological impairment

Young Adult Caregivers Support Group

Designed for family caregivers under the age of 40 who are caring for someone who is:

  • 60 or older with any diagnosis, or
  • Between the ages of 18-59 with an adult-onset cognitive or neurological impairment

Meets online via Zoom twice monthly. Participants should live in the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, or Santa Clara counties). To register, contact Rachel at (415) 434-3388 x331 or rcreed@caregiver.org.

Telephone Support Group in Spanish

Designed for Spanish-speaking family caregivers to share their experience, advice and support for other caregivers.
