Café Costa - Senior Nutrition Site

In partnership with Meals on Wheels Diablo Region and the City of Brentwood, Café Costa lunches provide 1/3 the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for healthy adults 60+. Food is prepared with no salt added. Menus are planned with your health in mind and are low in fat. Café Costa meals are served Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Suggested donation of $3 per person for seniors over 60 and $6.00 fee for all others. Reservations are required and must be made between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. the day before. Call CC Café Costa at 925-516-5398 to make your reservation today.

The Senior Nutrition Program is offers meals to seniors (60 +) in East County

Meals are delivered weekly to the Brentwood Senior Activity Center at 193 Griffith Ln each Tuesday morning. Meal packs include: 

  • 5 frozen meals and 2 fresh meals 
  • Assorted fresh fruits
  • Juice
  • Calcium and grain options

Suggested dontation of $3/meal or $21/7-Meal Pack

Contra Costa County Food Bank Brown Bag Program

In partnership with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Brown Bag Program, low income seniors receive free supplemental food twice per month. These groceries supplement the food seniors are able to purchase on their own. To qualify for this program, you must resident in a low income household, live in Contra Costa County and be 55 years of age or order. The Brentwood site services Brentwood, Byron, Discovery Bay and Knightsen. Applications are available by calling 925-676-7543.

Brown Bag food distribution has returned to the Brentwood Senior Activity Center 193, Griffith Lane. We will have the same process as we do now for pickup. Please drive in front of the center, remain in your vehicles, and move through to the check-in. Volunteers will check your Brown Bag participant number then place your Brown Bag in your vehicle.
