The Brentwood Cardboard Drop-off is a FREE amenity designed to assist with surplus cardboard. The facility is located at 2300 Elkins Way, just off Sunset Road. Our free cardboard drop off service is available for Brentwood Residents and Brentwood Businesses ONLY.
Please adhere to the guidelines: deposit cardboard only, and ensure boxes are flattened before PLACING THEM IN THE BINS.
We kindly ask that no styrofoam, plastic wrapping, or garbage be left at this location. Strict adherence to this policy is appreciated to prevent cross-contamination. Surveillance cameras are in place to ensure the safety and compliance of all patrons.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep this free service available for Brentwood residents and businesses.
Cardboard Drop-off Guidelines
Please adhere to the following guidelines.
Do's:
- Only regular corrugated cardboard boxes will be accepted. Corrugated boxes consist of three layers: an inside liner, an outside liner, and a fluted (ridged) layer in between. The fluted layer is usually made of rippled paper that provides strength and cushioning.
- All boxes must be empty and flattened.
- Boxes must be placed in the bins provided. If full, please come back.
Don'ts:
- "Wet-strength" or waxed cardboard will not be accepted. These types of boxes contain a visible coating and are commonly used for produce or food-related items.
- Chipboard boxes will not be accepted. Commonly used for packaging , paperboard is made from pressed paper or cardboard stocks. These boxes are typically lightweight and rigid, with a smooth finish.
- Paper wrap, plastic wrap, bubble wrap, polystyrene peanuts, or other packaging contents can not be accepted
- Trash and other items should not be left behind.
Location and Hours
Operational Hours: Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
*Periodically closed during servicing for up to an hour for safety of staff and users.
