On January 10, 2012, the City assumed the housing functions of the former Brentwood Redevelopment Agency. These housing functions included the transfer of formerly designated RDA Low and Moderate Income Housing funds and property. These assets are required to be maintained by the City in a separate fund and expended in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 34176.1
Senate Bill 341, which became effective January 1, 2014, requires each housing successor to comply with a series of annual reporting requirements. These reporting requirements detail 11 specific items which must be included in the annual report. The report is required to be posted on the City's website and submitted to the California Department of Housing and Community Development as an addendum to the Annual Progress Report.
